I am a graduate of SUNY Maritime College with a degree in Marine Transportation and a USCG 3rd Mate's License. I earned a Master's Degree in Sports Administration from Valparaiso University in 2005. I spent 12 years in the maritime industry and upgraded my USCG License to an Unlimited Inland Master. In addition, I began coaching college basketball in 2003 and I was appointed to my first head coach position in 2007 at Purdue University North Central in Westville, IN. In 2012 I left the maritime industry and I began my career as a full-time Director of Athletics for Indiana University Northwest in Gary, IN. I coached for another two years before I was appointed to the position of Director of Athletics at SUNY Maritime College, my alma mater in 2016. In 2019 I was appointed to the position of Director of Physical Education & Athletics at the United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), one of the five Federal Service Academies in the United States. Our program has 19 varsity teams and over 400 student-athletes. Since my appointment in August of 2019, we've won 25 conference championships and had 2 football bowl appearances with 21 teams qualifying for the NCAA Division III Championships.
